Hyperpigmentation is a common skin condition that occurs when patches of skin become darker than the surrounding area. Various factors, including sun exposure, hormonal changes, and inflammation, can cause this. Melasma, in particular, is a type of hyperpigmentation often caused by hormonal changes, such as pregnancy or birth control use.

While hyperpigmentation and Melasma can be difficult to treat, options are available to help improve the appearance of the skin. One such option is IPL Photofacial Laser treatment. The laser treatment targets the pigment in the skin and breaks it down, allowing the body to remove it naturally over time.

While laser treatment can reduce Hyperpigmentation and Melasma, it’s not a cure. It’s also necessary to prevent further damage to the skin. Sunscreen helps protect the skin from harmful UV rays that can worsen hyperpigmentation and Melasma.

If you are struggling with Hyperpigmentation and Melasma, call us to schedule an in-office consultation. You can achieve more transparent, even-toned skin with the proper care and treatment.

Facial Spider Veins

Laser is the medical procedure used to correct Telangiectasias, also called spider veins or facial capillaries, which are dilated blood vessels found around the nose, cheeks, and chin areas. They are common among people with sensitive skin, rosacea, and acne, but almost anyone can suffer from them at one point or another.

Laser treatments are the best and most efficient way to eliminate those blood vessels or little red splotches. Laser energy targets the hemoglobin in red blood cells, vaporizing the blood, collapsing, and destroying the unwanted vein.

Facial capillaries are usually eliminated within one to two treatments for most clients. Individuals with more complex vascular conditions, such as severe rosacea, might need multiple treatments. You can expect the final results around 3 to 4 weeks after treatment.

Cherry Angiomas

Cherry angioma is a small bright red dome-shaped growth on the skin. An overgrowth of vessels causes it and can appear anywhere on the body. Cherry angiomas are usually harmless and do not require treatment, but some people may find them unsightly or want to remove them for cosmetic reasons.

At La Vie Spa, we provide the IPL Photofacial service to remove the cherry angiomas fully, using the latest Candela GentleMax Pro Plus laser technology.
